"The pool was huge and hot tubs were amazing. They also had adult only hot tub outside as well. Really nice place, undervalued pricing and no question i know ill be back."
"One of the restaurant staff, Jolene, helped me by using the microwave to heat up soup I'd brought from home, because the rooms don't have microwaves.
The exercise facilities were minimal, so keep that in mind and maybe plan to be outside, hopefully without poor air quality.
The noise level from the fire pits was significant, despite many signs throughout the lodge stating quiet hours begin at 10pm. Something else to keep in mind when booking...if you want to sleep stay in a "resort view" room rather than a river facing room."
"I enjoyed my one-night stay with my girlfriend at this iconic historic hotel. It was nice to feel like we were living back in the early 1900's. The staff was friendly and the room was nice for being so old. It has A/C but does not have a bathroom fan so it gets foggy and humid in the room. There was plenty of parking. The hotel is literally next to a waterfall so that makes for the most ideal scenery and setting for a couple's night."
"Our stay was perfect. But, we had immense difficulties with the reservation provider that is on the hotel's website. It is apparently a third party provider that then places your reservation with another provider. They did not fully disclose their fee or that the reservation was not refundable and was prepaid. When I tried to contact them, their email account was not responsive. When I called, I was in a loop that kept wanting to send me a confirmation. I reached out to the hotel general manager who helped and concurrently disputed the charge with my credit card. I think it is now resolved."
"Our room was clean and kept refreshed every day by housekeeping. We had a suite w HC shower, etc. which proved very helpful with our recent back issues. The king bed was extremely comfortable and the room size was much appreciated for a multiple day stay.
We would highly recommend Hampton Inn at Hood River. It was a great location to base from for multiple days of scenic road trips."
