"Really lovely stay. I was working nearby and a solo traveller. Felt very welcome and safe. Lauren was so friendly showed me to my room and even offered to carry my very heavy bag. Food very good had the fish and Chips all cooked fresh. Room very clean and had everything I needed very cosy. Although on a busy main road hardly heard the traffic. I would highly recommend "

"I was kept fully informed of the check-in procedure (there si no desk), room information and even warnings about local road closures by email from Karen. The room was marvellous; clean, spacious and with a very shiny bathroom. The bed was the best I've slept in for ages and the quiet made for an excellent night's sleep. A lovely touch was the porridge pot and pain au chocolat left out for breakfast. The setting is spectacular; high above Sowerby Bridge with stunning views across the valley. "

The owner and staff outdid themselves with welcoming us later in the evening and making sure to seat us in the quite lovely dining room for a hot meal before retiring to our spacious guest room upstairs. The room was today and had lots of thoughtful amenities: tea, coffee, a variety of snacks, lots of toiletries. Breakfast was very good and served with warmth and hospitality. Definitely a wonderful place to stay. "

"I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the CO-OP live venue and because it has on site parking which only cost me £5 for 24 hours. Every aspect of the hotel lived up to expectations. Staff were charming and very helpful. Food was available to order at any time. We had pizza which was very tasty. I realised later that there is a McDonalds within walking distance but to be honest I’m glad we didn’t know and instead used the hotel dining availability. I can’t fault it and if I’m fortunate...
