"Smooth check in, room was exceptional and property was in close proximity to the centre of York. On site parking available. Only downside was traffic noise quite loud through the night as room was at the front but couldn’t be helped.
Would highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again."

"The property works for the purpose of my visit to York. It is clean and comfortable, and literally minutes to my son’s rental. The landlord was very helpful and easily contactable for minor issues. The property is at a quiet position where it’s not facing the main road. The bus into the city centre was literally at door step so very convenient for sightseeing and shopping. Will use it again for future visit to my son and would recommend it to friends who want to visit York."

"An enjoyable one night stay at a hotel where the positive features far outweigh any minor niggles. Attentive and pleasant staff, excellent food, well presented and served in a timely manner. Rooms just bordering on the need for some love and attention, although White Stuff toiletries do a good job in diverting attention from the nasty stain on one of the seats.
Decent enough spa facilities, although it would be helpful if the price to swim were included in the booking price."

"This is a beautiful hotel in all aspects! The breakfast was the nicest hotel I have had in a long while and I travel alot!!
Perfectly situated for the coast, we visited Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay and whitby; and for York and Harrogate.
Would definately stay here again if we find ourselves in that part of the country again!!"

"Enjoyed the stay but it was noisy trying to get to sleep in the cottage room and I’m curious as to why there were only 9 loungers in the spa but there are 60 bedrooms ? I had to sit on a chair .. not really the spa experience I was looking for.
Also another gripe of mine is no full length mirrors in bedrooms ? And no table near a mirror to sit and dry hair and do makeup ? It’s the little things that make all the difference."

"The setting of this hotel is beautiful. The room we had was recently renovated and was extremely comfortable. The staff were great, very friendly and attentive.
