Hotel looks much better in the photos. The rooftop is nice but the pool is small. I booked a superior king room and the hotel claimed they upgraded me to the "new" wing. The hotel is old and hallways and elevator are dingy. The room had a decent but cheap facelift (I would have been highly unhappy without the upgrade if the other room I booked wasn't upgraded - im not sure in the booking it specified that), the bathroom was the size of a shoe box and the door impedes on the already very small space. The bed was comfortable, the makeup station was convenient, AC worked well but made a loud noise, sound proofing was bad but most hotels in VN are - even the new ones. The staff was good and did a nice birthday surprise for me and gave me a complimentary late check out. I appreciated that. For the price I paid though I think there are better options. It's in a dingier side of town too, but close to the markets if you want to shop. The area near Opera House is nicer. The breakfast was the worst I had in my entire 3 week stay. All hotels come with breakfast and they are all pretty much the same, but this one had bare minimum and they couldn't keep up with replenishing it. I didn't even eat at the hotel for two of the three days, as it wasn't worth it. I booked last minute so perhaps paid more, but wasn't worth the price in comparison to others I stayed at.
