This hotel offers an outstanding world class service . Staff are friendly , informative and super helpful. The food is spectacular- best buffet I’ve ever experience in South Africa. Great location and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We would come back again !

The meals served from the restaurant are absolutely fantastic! The dinners and breakfast... so so yummy. The rooms are comfortable and the lounge and bar area was great to uniwnd from the game drive. Guide Israel was phenomenal...

Vacay at Hluhluwe

The venue was overall ok - not outstanding but comfortable. Cleanliness needs to be improved in the chalets and the supply of basics such as toilet paper need to be replenished daily. The breakfast was excellent, the buffet dinners did not wow my family. The boma and Zulu dance was fantastic.

A lovely Gem

We loved our stay and the staff were working so very hard. The staff in the Restaurant should get an award for Patience and kindness. Cleaning staff could improve. I saw a lot of dust and dirt on the floors every afternoon when I returned to a clean room. The one bar staff member could be a bit friendlier. He didnt look interested in serving.

weekend from hell

where do I begin, by far my worst accommodation experience to date. Front desk staff messed up my booking and I ended up making 3 separate payments for a two night stay. Staff seemed unwilling to fulfil requests, kitcken and the bar had a limited items on their menu and the hotel ran out of ice both nights I was there.

New Year's Eve family vacation

I visited this hotel on 31 Dec 2021 with family. I was very impressed with the facility and cleanliness and staff efficiency. It is indeed a facility suitable for complete relaxation of the entire family with their children friendly facilities to play.

Disappointed - Restless and uncomfortable stay

The staff are friendly, that's about it. The room had a few mosquitoes on arrival which we had to go around hunting and spraying in conjunction with other bugs. We found a huge spider in the room as well. The bath/toilet was okay but it looked like it needed a thorough cleaning. If you like a hot shower after a full day, don't get your hopes up. The AC would just make a constant loud rattle. There is a little advert to request pillows of your choice, after the first restless night we requested for better pillows. The staff tried to help but apparently the manager or whoever had the keys to the room with the pillows locked it and left. That's quite pointless considering it is a hotel. There were guests partying and making racket through to 5 A.M. This happened on 2 nights. None of the hotel staff attempted to solve the issue even though the guests were running through the corridors. Our 3 night stay was just restless. The food from the restaurant was not anything to talk about. Just satisfactory. Cutlery was not cleaned properly. The pictures of the room look better than it actually is. Would never go back here again.

The hotel was well-situated on the main road halfway between maputo and Pietermaritzburg, which was exactly what we needed! The morning game drive was beautiful, though it is 15 min to the park entrance. Room was fine, though the AC made a lot of noise. Breakfast was so so.

The rondavel was very cute & great space to relax

We stayed in the rondavel. Lovely space, we had a fabulous time. We did stay over the Christmas period, and there were taxi's blaring music at 2am in the morning from the petrol station down the road. It's unfortunate that people are so inconsiderate, not the hotels fault, but still irritating that it's that noisy that we were kept awake all nights we were there. Also, if you're looking for quiet time to relax by the pool, that's not possible as it's always full of screaming children. Bring earphones and music to drown it out :) Besides that, we did really like the accom and breakfast was fantastic.
