Spacious, clean hotel with daily breakfast with banana bread and delicious papaya. Friendly staff and the best part is you get the feeling of staying in a tropical paradise since the hotel is surrounded by lush forest even though it is in a small neighborhood.

This was a very convenient nice place to stay. Little kitchenette was great, very clean. If you were traveling with a family would be great lots of beds and storage areas. Beautiful garden area.

We spent two nights at the Dolphin bay hotel and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, the proximity with the town center and the warm welcome upon arrival. The rooms are tidy and the small kitchen very useful.

We love staying at the Dolphin Bay Hotel. It is conveniently located near many places we visit, the staff is wonderful, and the rooms are simple but roomy. We also enjoy how peaceful the neighborhood is and a big bonus is getting fresh coffee, banana bread and fruit every morning. Parking is easy, the WiFi is 5G so accessing devices is super quick.

Very nice property just outside the Hilo downtown. Lots of walkable restaurants, bars and shops, and very friendly staff willing to help you out with just about anything you need during your stay.

Kelly was so welcoming and allowed us to check in early and provuded us with a lovely room. Delicious fresh fruit and bannana bread in the morning was a big plus. Would definitely stay again.

Dated but clean.

Cute place, but very dated, and very clean. Banana bread, papaya and coffee were great for breakfast. Noisy at night with the frogs, (white noise for sure).

Dolphin Bay Hotel is a sweet, laid-back, vintage hotel. It has loads of character and beautiful gardens. I love staying at the Dolphin Bay Hotel because it is unique and well-maintained and always clean. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating, and they offer fresh coffee, homemade banana bread and sweet, ripe papayas in the morning.

This is a great place. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. The place was clean and cleaned daily. My only regret is that I didn’t stay longer. I switched sides of the Big Island and probably didn’t need to. Would definitely recommend.
