"Overall, it was an okay stay. Friday night to Sunday morning. Breakfast was alright, if you like the frozen stuff that thaws out in those metal trays. The waffle area was a mess, but breakfast was fine overall. The pool and hot tub were functional. There was A LOT of loose hair and floating specs of God-knows-what in the pool. "This hotel is very clean, has a great breakfast and is ideally located right downtown within short walking distance of everything you'd want to do downtown (museums, restaurants, entertainment). It was our second time staying here, once as an adult couple and once with our child. The only negative things I have to say is that the pool area is not ideal. "My husband and I decided to stay the night at the Grand Amway Hotel in Grand Rapids to celebrate his birthday. We selected a room on the 24th floor. The room itself was average with a typical TV, desk, chair, and king sized bed. The dimmer lights were a nice touch. Unfortunately the bathroom was a huge disappointment. "The photos really didn't do this hotel justice - it's very attractive and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable, the room was well-decorated and spacious, and the communal spaces were very nice. We were able to park right out front on the street and walk to many dinner and entertainment options. Be aware that not all rooms have windows, so if that's important to you, be sure to verify before reserving your room. We absolutely loved this hotel and will be back!"

"Everything was great, except having the room next to the pool was a little tough. There was a heavy smell of chlorine in the hallway and people were very noisy right up until the pool closed."
