"Easy highway access. Nice staff. Nothing outstsnding, but the room was clean and th bed was comfortable. The oncluded breakfast has the choice of toast, cereal or pancakes... no fruit. Overall, reasonable for the price, but a little effort on breakfast would sway me to stay again when in town on business."

"Location of hotel was right in downtown and perfect. Near shops n restaurants. Loved the energy and vibe. Rms were spacious! And all of the front desk people were super nice and helpful. Will stay again."

"The owners were super friendly to my children. We stayed in the Sterling room which was like a library! My children enjoyed looking through the books. My only comment was we had no choices for breakfast and my kids wouldn't eat the breakfast. More for me though!"

"Appears to be short staffed...frequently sign at front check-in/desk rather than person. Proud of their old elevator...but floor of elevator frequently misaligns with room level floor making luggage cart useless. Access to our room was hindered by misaligned hardware - inside bolt and locking mechanism. Took a shoulder push to enter. Antiques abound. So if that is your thing...enjoy them. Parking is free...contrary to hotel reservation sites. Front desk issues paper parking pass for length of...

"The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and awesome! Officially this is the best hotel I’ve stayed at. The location is wonderful as a rest stop, is next to an In-n-Out, and very close to the American River and wonderful natural hiking spots in Auburn! Thanks, Holiday Inn staff for being so awesome :)"

"The room was clean. Although the pool wasn’t heated and a bit dirty. Breakfast was okay, not anything special I’d say for $300 a night I expected more. Expedia also says there is a $20 parking fee. They charge you at the front desk at check in this “fee” which includes parking and amenities which are just like cucumber lemon water and these very small smoothies glasses by the front door. The fee turned out to be $120. I think for the price staying here wasn’t worth it. Although staff was kind."

"The front office lady was wondering.. they dont have a pool like it says online.. was looking forward to pool.. The sheets where stained or dirty floor was dirty.."

"I like the breakfast, but after the power went out for four or five hours, I had put my towels out the door and because of the power outage the Mark would not lock the doors personally Took my towels out and put them on the floor outside of my door in the doorway one of the staff from the Front reservation desk took them. I think they were six or so. For two days, I did not receive any clean line nor was the best made That’s my story and I’m sticking to it"

"Very basic and comfortable place to rest. This motel is on a very busy and loud(SUVs and motorcycles) corner at the gateway to the American River Rec. area. It is a very short stroll to Auburn historic downtown with pubs and excellent restaurants. It was Uber clean with a great shower. Somewhat worn but, again, location was excellent and wonderful helpful staff. Would definitely stay again."
