"Location was lovely. The rooms were spotless but I felt the garden rooms were rather exposed. Maybe net curtains on the windows would have given a little more privacy."

"Good food and comfortable room"

"I think the hotel is pretty,i like the rustic feel and furniture of the lounge/restaurant area. However the bedroom and bathroom can do with a modern , colourful, light and airy renovation. The bathroom is outdated ,I think they can update this. The staff can improve by being a bit more welcoming, friendly and warm. "Will definitely be coming back. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was amazing. Truly enjoyed my time in the pub and making friends with the locals! Highly recommend this place as a solo traveller as they make you feel extremely welcome!"

"Loved this place. The authentic feel of how it was back in the day was fantastic. The rooms had all you needed while keeping authenticity. It was amazingly quiet place to sleep. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Food and drinks were great! Definitely would stay here again!"

"The stay was wonderful and we were treated with personal care. The only negative was that our room needed a little bit of repairs, given that the building is several hundred years old. Everything worked fine, but there were a few creaks in the floor that were in need of attention. The issue was limited to our room. The rest of the building appeared to be in great shape. By the time a reader sees this comment, the issue may have already been taken care of."
