The main light bulb in the room needs replaced 'creates' Brighter room much like bedside light, excellent bathroom very spacious. Fabulous friendly staff. Especially Sandra at the front desk.

We had a lovely stay. Unfortunately our TV did not work but the reception staff member upgraded us to a suite and we had a lovely stay . The staff were very lovely at the bar and reception and worked really hard . Thank you . You were appreciated by us.

Freindly staff, room was cozy had everything that was needed although bed was a little hard for my likeing but thats just personal choice,breakfast was probly best ive had in any hotel, hotel is close to local pubs,diners infact everything ,will definetly be using again.

Beautiful historic building but not as clean as it could be. Windows filthy, fan and iron in our room were extremely dirty. Fan blew dust everywhere. Bed was nice and comfy. Carpets need a deep clean. Was a grand hotel in its day and with some work could be a nice place again

Single room was like a sauna with window full open and fan going. No adjustment on the big radiator in the small room. As window had to be fully open (safety catch had been removed) it was very loud on a Saturday night until early hrs then the street cleaners start. Room grubby but cheap. Also when I returned from work at 2 in morning no one answered the call button so was locked out. Had to bang on the windows hard. On a plus note the breakfast was good

Interesting first stay at Grand Hotel Hartlepool i am sure once it was a very plush hotel but starting to look a bit tired these days most annoying was noisy plumbing which did wake me up sometimes but staff were all very friendly and moved me after problems with my tv and Internet

Needs a little more attention to details like a broken blind or no blackout curtains and unusable door chain. Staff do their best and are friendly. Good breakfasts. The bathrooms are big but single beds a wee bit narrow. All in all though really pretty good.

A memorable hotel with brilliant staff

We arrived to find we had been booked into double rooms with a double bed but had requested twin beds as we were a group of six elderly men! The reception staff went out of their way to accommodate us with this request, giving us alternative rooms. W also had a great breakfast here. The reception staff were professional, welcoming and went out of their way to facilitate our needs.
