"Bristol Grand Hotel is OK, but it certainly doesn't feel as if it's really a 4* hotel.
It's very well placed and does have the benefit of parking next door, although the car park was pretty dirty and unpleasant.
The hotel looks good from the outside, but the stairs had not been hoovered and looked dirty. The standard double room was pretty basic (compared to say, a Premier Inn) but had a full sized bath. The room was clean, but the carpet was threadbare in places and the bed was not very...

"When checking-in, a receptionist confirmed that I could leave my luggage at check-out. Next morning, reception was found closed at check-out time. Another guest knocked on the door of the staff room there. A lady answered us and she took my cabin suitcase safely. I was told that the reception would be open from 12pm and I could get my luggage back at the reception anytime later. I told her that I would be back about 1pm.
