"It was clean, nicely feeling accommodation in a retro style. The retro does NOT mean old and worn out, but more like the feeling of staying in a small local museum. The rooms are the biggest I stayed in during my two-week road trip in Iceland. Location is best - first line facing ocean / harbor. The only thing I liked less where showers. They where ok, but I would do there some renovations to match the entire guesthouse level."

"Modern hotel lobby and they have a cute neighborhood cat who's often wandering the grounds. Staff was helpful. Fantastic views and breakfast buffet facing the church. We enjoyed the views from all the windows, so beautiful! The carpeting could be updated and our room + bathroom was cramped for three. If you're mostly resting for the night this will work."

"This was our favorite place we stayed at while visiting Iceland. The staff and property were wonderful. Rooms were spacious and well-stocked. Very comfortable beds and amenities. There was nearby hiking, a playground, a hot tub, and a pond on the property. We loved seeing the sheep that roamed the property. The food was excellent, especially the lamb and wine! We would have adjusted our trip schedule if we had known how much we would love the property. I highly recommend staying at this resort and hope to visit again soon. Our place also had a laundry machine, which was very useful. Very clean rooms and a well-maintained property. The staff was really great, and we enjoyed talking with them."

"I'm not necessarily a hotel person but this was an exceptional one. We were on the third floor above an area where you had to go outside briefly and that was a little weird, but that was the only oddity. Weather wasn't an issue so it wasn't a problem. The food was terrific. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and from starters to dessert it was perfect. I think the beet soup was one of the best I have ever had. Property sits adjacent to the black church and in the middle of a national park so there's plenty of hiking to do around it which is the reason we chose it. We hiked to one of the volcanoes which took about three and a half hours round trip but the view was amazing. You can also if you are brave go swimming or at least jump in the cold water. The sitting area is around the bar are also an added bonus and I would definitely make time to have a drink and take in the views."

"All was good. A few suggestions: need towel racks or hooks in bathrooms, provide creamer for free coffee and tea. If you sit in the chair in the room, you can feel the post under your seat—not very comfortable! Also let guests know WiFi is free in the downstairs entry when they are instructed to call reception."
