Wonderful bed and breakfast style smaller hotel. The hotel itself is older but that’s the charm of it. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice and clean as well. The restaurant next door is absolutely delicious! Not a far drive to Yosemite entrance and the town of Groveland is awesome. I would highly recommend staying here!

Lovely period property with friendly staff and nice location. The rooms could do with a bit of a refresh but overall the stay was very comfortable and convenient. The restaurant that is adjoined to the hotel is fabulous with excellent food at very reasonable prices.

We stayed at the lovely Hotel Charlotte on our way to Yosemite. Finn was incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was charming, comfortable and spotless. The mattress and bed linens were 5 star- perfection. The bathroom was also spotless and the towels wonderful. Would highly recommend the Hotel Charlotte!

Wonderful Stay, Kind Owners

The hotel was quaint, charming, and comfortable. The owner was so nice- we were hungry and she recommended a close by restaurant- the restaurant was about to close, so she quickly checked us in so we could make it in time to get dinner. I love that the hotel is run by a sweet family who care about their clients! Plus, the place is absolutely adorable!

Keeping your mind, building is hundred years plus old and don't expect five star hotel. Very friendly staff and the property is in a good condition. Cross the street donut shop and iron door saloon. Historic town. It is worth to visit for one day.

Hotel Charlotte is a historic hotel with lots of old-world charm and associated character. It is centrally located in Groveland and is a perfect launching point for a day in Yosemite Valley. The proprietor is extremely welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area.

What a charming place to stay, exactly as we hoped it would be full of character, comfortable its delightful. We stayed for two nights but could have easily stayed longer and would recommend without a doubt. The little extra breakfast goodies were a real treat. Finn, you are wonderful the perfect tonic to a long day travelling we loved your passion and enthusiasm for the place and helpfulness of the surrounding area. Places to eat nearby too. Thank you!

Nice gem on the way to Yosemite. Owners care about the guests. Great lobby conveniences with microwave, refrigerator and coffee/tea. Old historic building. No elevators, so be prepared to climb stairs if your room is upstairs.
