"We had a wonderful stay at Stanwell House Hotel. The staff are excellent, every member of the team was incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed in Room 32, which was perfectly cosy with a very comfortable bed and offered lovely views. The breakfast was great—high quality and plenty of choice. My only minor note is that drinks can be quite expensive at the bar. Highly recommended for a boutique stay in Lymington!"

"The only factor in favour for the hotel is the history and the period property. It needs sprucing up the exterior and somewhat the interior. Room can get hot despite not south face. Breakfast was too slow and so we left without having the main item , 40 minutes after entering.They wrote that breakfast is leisurely but it could be putting a spin on the low staffing.Reception personnel are not quite welcoming or service like.."

"For the $91 per night price, this was very good value. Indeed, the property is a mere 5 minutes from the port and train station, which is great. Also, there are good restaurants within a 15 to 20 minute walk. There is a decent full kitchen, although there appeared to be no way to make ice. Be aware that there are no en suite bathrooms, but the bathroom was always available to us, since the property was only about half full. Staff were terrible, I have to call to get my access code and they end up giving wrong access codeI booked room 1 they put me in room 4. I called to find out why and they responded by text message and then closed work for the day."
