The building is a bit dated due to being in business for over 100 years by the same family, but don’t let that turn you away. "We can't say enough about the Grand Hotel Des Alpes. Centrally located in town, so made it easy to visit local shops and phenomenal restaurants (e.g. Atmosphere, Rose de Pont and Matafan, all highly recommended). Skiing to each of the 4 resorts was made easy through the hotels shuttle service. Picks you up at the hotel and drops you off at the slopes. Then returns you. Both to and from are on a schedule you decide. Staff was amazing. Little positives like sweets in the early afternoon and savory...

"Very quaint and homey, perfect for two travelers looking for a cheap stay near the Chamonix area. Fabienne and the rest of the staff were kind and accommodating, evidenced by them working with us when we encountered bus and flight delays. Rooms were cleaned daily. Additionally, you have the option to pay the first day you arrive or the last (if you plan on taking advantage of the hotel breakfast, it’s easier to pay upon checking out). Would stay again if we decide to journey out to Chamonix....

"Absolute highlight on a trip full of them was our stay at the Armancette. Good-sized, clean and nicely appointed room. Staff was SPECTACULAR, attentive and helpful in every way in getting out to the ski slopes and to area restaurants at night. The vicinity around the hotel was quiet and beautiful, a true treat to stay there."
