"In the Park, very convenient for visiting different areas of the park, hikes, etc. Overall, comfortable stay with good air conditioning, basic room amenities. The restaurants and shops are OK, underwhelming, expensive for what you get, but you are in the middle of a desert, so it isn't completely unreasonable. They do overwater the lawns (which is a waste of water in the hottest place in the USA), with puddles on walking paths common.
If we were to come back, we'd probably stay here again, but mostly just for the convinence. "
"We booked "Hill Side" which was on the view of aircondioners on the hillside plus we could hear the humming noise all night long. We reluctantly accepted room since they said the place was Sold Out. I knew they can't do much about the room but I was more offended by a very rude front desk staff. She was sullen as if we are bothering her when we are checking in, never explained or apologized after making us come back to the front desk from our room for supposedly payment issue (she only said "now its working"), and so very grouchy and unhelpful when i had to leave a bottle for my friend on the front desk.
We didnt expect a very rude front desk staff, their first impression, who obviously needed more training from this supposedly "high end" establishment.
Very High in the price indeed but very low end in the service, amenities (expect Motel 6 coffee maker and dorm refrigerator) and tiny room.
Uncleaned courts, staircases and mediocre breakfast which we had to wait for a tour group's eating time was over.
The nice front manager spoke with me about the rude service, offered an apology and a complimentary breakfast which I first declined. But, once my husband learned of this he wanted to give another try. So we went. The breakfast was mediocre at the best. We paid for our breakfasts and left!"
