"A historic home with a fabulous collection of collections in the parlor, dining room and living room. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated and have period furnishings and comfortable bed and sitting area. The stained glass and woodwork in the home is wonderful. We especially loved the seating nook with circular moulding around it- gorgeous.
A menu is provided for breakfast ahead of time so guests can choose their options. The gracious host serves breakfast.
The exterior of the home is getting a completely new paint job - can’t wait to see the new colors!
This is a place to stay for a memorable and comfortable visit with a nod to the 1880’s.
Fort Plain has a setting of the early days of Upstate New York and there are several good eateries within walking distance
We would definitely revisit this Bed and Breakfast

"We were going to stay at the Riverside Motel in Fultonville. That place looked SCARY. We left that motel ASAP and went to the Super 8. The Super 8 was MAGICAL in comparison. Very clean, no smoke odor, sizable room with microwave and mini fridge. Breakfast bagels were YUM! Very grateful not to fear that my car will be broken into or that I’ll be murdered in my sleep. Slept like a baby :)"
"We were just there for one night. When we arrived, a car pulled up and asked our names, we said who we were and they replied that they did not know what time we were arriving. ( check in is 4 to 9, something like that). He said Expedia had sold our reservation to a third party, and there was no contact information.. We tried contacting them through the email message they presumably sent through Expedia, but there wasn't one. We didn't think there was a serous issue, or we would have called the inn. ( He said we should have booked directly through the inn, he also said it would have been self check-in). Anyhow, we entered and checked in...empty, dark and cold, why we didn't leave right then, who knows. Our room was cold, the person said the mini split would heat it up in no time ( not really)...the only saving grace was the local restaurant he recommended was excellent (Sam's Seafood). Our much-needed getaway started poorly. I bet it's a lovely place to stay in-season, but do your self a favor when making a reservation, contact them directly and be sure the lights will be on!"
