Upon arrival you see a scruffy mobile home on concrete blocks and on the other side of the hotel it looks like a self build shed in a very bad state of disrepair. The hotel is so run down with repairs needed and filth everywhere. Our bathroom had a large jacuzzi bath but none of us would get in it and the jacuzzi did not work. "This was a solid hotel on our way to Isle of Skye. The construction outside wasn't known until after the booking. And while not horrible, they started moving equipment about 45 min before 8am when the work was to start. We knew it would be rustic and it was. No frills but solid hotel. Beds were very hard though."

"This is a very tired property. The carpets are tired. The rooms are tired. The facilities are tired. The food is tired - if that is possible. And all the staff seem tired. I wasn’t expecting the world but this is the sort of tired place best skipped if other options exist. And when it comes to food, you MUST find other options."

"The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was decent and the rooms were clean and comfortable. One of our ground floor rooms was next to the car park which was a little disconcerting, but not noisy, so that was a relief. "Expedia booking said breakfast included , hotel staff said it was not. Expedia booking said booked at Garrison Hotel, but we were actually booked at Garrison Apartments which is 0.2 mile away. We still had to check in at the Hotel location then drive 0.2 mile away to apartment . All the parking at apartment was full , so unload luggage and then drive around Fort William looking for parking. Found parking 1 mile away and then walked back ."
