"The villa was very modern and stylish. The gas fireplace was great on the cold raining night I stayed. The bed was very comfy and the shower had good pressure with a soft rain head. The bathroom and toilet is encased in a large glass box which is cool to be able to sit in the spa and watch TV but the sheer curtains for privacy was a bit too revealing and could do with something heavier to provide more mystery when your partner is in the bathroom."

"The escape villa is beautifully designed, with plenty of natural light and stunning tree views. The fireplace is a true centerpiece—gorgeous to look at from anywhere in the villa, while also providing excellent warmth and comfort. The open-plan jacuzzi is another highlight, perfectly positioned to take in the views. Both the couch and the bedding are very comfortable, making for a relaxing stay. "What a great historical hotel in the heart of Ballarat. The room was up to date and the staff was helpful with our luggage. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious and the service excellent. There was no problem with parking on site, especially upon our late night return from the Sovereign Hill Aura event. "

"Wonderful hotel in a beautiful area. We stayed in an executive suite and it was spacious and lovely. Great corner bath and big TV. The restaurant is downstairs and the dinner was wonderful. We got great wood fired pizza very near by which was great. There is no mini bar or room service. But a big fridge and tea and coffee making provided. Bar and restaurant were pricey but great cocktails. There are wonderful walking trails close by. The pool is big and super warm. We would definitely stay...

"Do some crazy traffic jams in Melbourne we arrived after 9:00 PM, which was their office closing time. Thankfully, the instructions for finding the room and the key had been clearly explained to us over the phone, which we really appreciated. It was a cold, miserable night—but walking into the room felt like such a warm welcome. The owners had thoughtfully turned the heaters on ahead of our arrival, and that simple gesture made all the difference. It was a lovely way to start our stay. "

"The in-room spa with the window view was beautiful and the overall room felt luxurious. Jo the owner was lovely and helpful when needed and otherwise the stay was quiet and peaceful and away from the big hotels yet only 10 mins drive to Daylesford. Highly recommend staying here for a romantic couples weekend away."

"I was met with a very engaging owner who showed me through the hotel. My room was small but very clean with a comfortable bed and efficient heating. Bathroom was a shared bathroom but was very clean and plenty of hot water and large 'fluffy' towels. The evening meal was very tasty and there was not a long waiting time for the meal. Very helpful and friendly staff. A beautiful country hotel and I would highly recommend staying at this hotel."
