"The location is fantastic. I was in a room at the very top floor up a narrow staircase that made me nervous with my bags. It was big, the bed was comfortable enough, and it wasn't in a good state of repair."

"It’s faded and tired. It’s advertised as being on special at £67 then vat is added then parking is added at £10 . No breakfast for this price and it’s tired. I remember stay there in the early 80’s when it was “the place” it’s suffering . The rooms don't have USB C or 3 phone chargers and the circuit tripped when I plugged in my charger ."

"Nice quiet room and just an excellent staff going above and beyond. Parking is a real issue, honestly as great as the staff was, I wouldn't be staying here again if I had to have a car."

"The Alamo Guest House was lovely, in a great location across from a lovely park. Easy access to everything …. transport, museums, restaurants, etc. The staff were exceptional. Great breakfast offered."

"Clean room, great staffs, kitchen was clean. Location was good right at the west end. However, there was no elevator. People travelling with luggage’s is really difficult to carry them through the endless staircases to reach to the room. I would highly recommend all the hosteling Scotland's should have lift/elevator at least. Thanks"
