Far enough away from the touristy areas that you felt like you were in a local neighborhood, but close enough that it was an easy walk to many of the highlights. "The feel of the hotel as you enter is cosy/familiar. The decor although not conventional is easy on the eye. The room was good, comfortable bed, good space in the bathroom, nice shower but the air-conditioning was a little noisy. Breakfast was very good avoiding the use of a buffet but just as extensive. We did not use the restaurant for any other meals. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful."
