"Our room at the Deri-Down was lovely and comfortable with a large walk-in wardrobe and a modern well equipped en-suite shower room. There was a multi-channel TV, a small fridge with milk, tea/cofffee provided. The landlady was very helpful and allowed my son and his wife to change in our room for the wedding we were all going to. "I was really impressed by this hotel, it was only really a bed for a night so I had low expectations but I was absolutely happy with how clean and comfy the room was. I wasn’t expecting a bar either or the secure free parking so this was all a nice surprise. Will definitely be using this hotel again. "

"Walking distance to a secure car park, although i have to pay for it since it's in town centre. Carpet needs a bit freshening up, but clean bathroom. Shops, bars and restaurants accessible. Breakfast starts at 7 but the staffs let me have milk for my cereals and offered me toast earlier since i have to leave at 7. Definitely, i will book the hotel again in the future."

"We booked last minute as an alternate to where we normally stay when visiting Newport. Very happy with the condition of the room, the grounds, and the services by the staff and management. Beautiful older legacy property set in a beautiful and quiet area with decent amenities for kids and adults."

"We had an amazing place, everything was just perfect. The room was huge, bed very comfortable, hot shower, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits, all you need to be happy. The breakfast was delicious. Close distance to the town, Raglan Castle, Puzzlewood, Tintern Abbey and other local attractions. Highly recommended place to stay either for short or longer break. If we ever visit the area again, we'll definitely choose the The Church Farm. "
