Great stay for 2 nights. The room was clean and spacious and the bed comfortable. Consistently excellent food for both dinners and breakfasts that we had - and very promptly served, considering how busy the restaurant gets. Well done to all the staff team.

Lovely atmospheric hotel with an excellent restaurant.
Thank you for another fantastic stay at The Bear Hotel. This year our room was in the main building. It was cosy, modern, comfortable and clean. The hotel itself is very interesting and quirky. Definitely worth a visit.

staff were very friendly and helpful.
i would definitely return for another stay.
It’s the place to stay while exploring the surrounding Critchhowell area. It has a long history with new age charm I would recommend the property and it’s friendly staff to all travellers
Very much enjoyed another stay at The Bear. Had very comfortable renovated ground floor room with new ensuite bathroom with shower. High standard of cleanliness. Excellent restaurant. Very friendly and helpful team members.
We stayed here following a day of hiking and it was perfect. However it would also be a great place to stay for a more glamorous occassion too. Super friendly and welcoming staff. Comfortable bed and quirky interior. Food was incredible.
Returners to The Bear, great and convenient place to stop, staff friendly and helpful
Room good size ,clean and well stocked with tea and coffee
but bit excessive on the cushions!
We regularly eat at The Bear, as we love the food, but this was our first time to stay. The room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. As always, the service in the restaurant was excellent and the food was delicious. Our waiter, Hi-Man was most attentive.
Another great stay at The Bear. I love it because it has a lot of character and it’s interesting. The rooms and nice and comfortable and the restaurant serves really delicious food (I had the beef short rib). It’s also really conveniently located in Crickhowell with most other interesting places within walking distance.
Lastly, all the staff I spoke to were really friendly and accommodating.
Definitely worth a visit.
This is our annual trip that we like to take. The bear never disappoints. I love this time of year, sitting by the fire on a cold day. Food is always top quality, staff can never do enough for you..
