"I stayed at Hollies Halifax for 5 days. We arrived late the first day (Wednesday) and was told AC broken for the hotel. We stayed on the 9th floor ... flat roof with a day temperature of 30C. A hot stuffy room was our welcome! No windows at all. We requested a fan,. the fan was very loud with a broken nob that we cannot adjust. "We stayed at this property ahead of moving our son into his university dorm. It was a perfect location, easy to get everywhere and a grocery store only a 5 minute walk. There was plenty of room to store our things and we really appreciated the covered car port. The house was very clean and the owners responsive. We would not hesitate to stay here again. My only suggestion to future guests would be to bring some sugar packets if you like it in your coffee :)"

"What i like about this place: the price for a room with a private bathroom, a fridge and microwave. What I did not like is that the walls are thin like paper and you can hear your neighboors as if they were on your room. Plan ear plugs and go out to explore the city."

"Spent 6 nights at this hotel. Great location for our needs and easily accessible. Room and overall hotel was clean and tidy. Included breakfast was great with many choices to start the day. Had supper only one evening (as we had plans otherwise most days)....menu choices were good and food was great. Overall very good stay...we will be back!"
