"Pub was not able to offer an evening meal for ourselves and 2 guests as they had run out of food and no delivery was expected until the following morning. Breakfast was excellent, there were a few concerns, no brown bread, no bowls or small plates but overall food was good. Room was clean and functional in a good position "

"We booked this as it was close to a wedding venue in the centre of town. When we arrived we asked about where we could park for the weekend- response was a but grumpy and not very helpful as we were advised to park a distance away when my husband struggles with his mobility. Karaoke was in full swing when we arrived and unfortunately our room was directly above this and went on til 11 pm as it did the following night so if you want an early night you’ve got no chance if you have room 5. Room was small with very small shower - banged my elbow getting out. However everywhere was really clean as were the bar areas and for what we paid per night (it was Easter weekend as well) it was good value. It was ok for a 2 night stay - if you like karaoke. "

"Great location, helpful owner, convenient parking. Very dated, cold, strange smell (guard dogs/foist?), inadequate shower, uncomfortable beds, could be cleaner. Didn't try breakfast or bar. Not good value for money when booked through Expedia."

"Great location, however the property needs some updating, in fact it's currently for sale.. Waking up to the peacock wondering the ground was brilliant, really kept the dog on his toes. The bed is one of the worse we've ever slept on, and generally felt motion sickness every time one of us moved! "

"I will never stay at a one of these properties again. The room was fine but the staff at reception was rude and unhelpful. It was booked prepaid with Hotels.com to which they said it was not prepaid even after showing the receipt to her. We chose to have diner there as we were tired. At least 1/3 of the tables were covered in dirty dishes. We eventually were able to flag a server down to give our order for food and drinks. Food arrived which was actually well done but never got our drinks even after asking a second time. We had to contact Hotels several time to get the refund being processed. So far we still have received it. "
