"Decent parking. Close to restaurants and supermarkets, easy 20 minute walk to CBD. Room faced an inner courtyard, with very little natural light and a view directly into the opposite room if you opened the curtains- though there was little point due to the lack of light. Felt a bit subterranean, but as a place to sleep it was comfortable and good value."

"Clean, comfortable and spacious room. Considering it’s a 5 star hotel the room price is honestly a steal. Buffet breakfast was good, nothing extravagant but definitely gets the job done. Parking is a little steep but expected."

"Of you’re every in Brisbane, this is the place to stay. The attention to detail in maintaining its heritage character was wonderful. The large well appointed room and bathroom was appreciated. Five minutes down the hill to restaurants and a further five minutes to the botanical gardens made this a very accessible location. Loved our one night stay there. "

"We were greeted by on-going renovation in the lobby during our stay in mid-Nov 2024. Nothing was mentioned in the websites. Room was an odd shape layout; maybe due to the building structure. Hence, the room wasn't as spacious as I had expected of a 41m sq room. Clean room. Slight stain in the bathroom. Housekeeping every 3 days."

"The kitchen has a microwave, fridge, hot water kettle and dishes. The room was clean and also had a washer/dryer in the bathroom which I loved. We checked in after hours and had limited interaction with the staff but the few times they were friendly. The only thing that I noticed that could have been better is the carpet in the hallway from the elevator to our room appeared to have not been vacuumed while we were there. "Over and above what is usually expected from a hostel. A hotel feel with in room kitchenette, towels provided, private outside space (our room had a terrace, others have balconies), air conditioning, good quality beds and bedding. Amenity spaces were well designed, clean and comfortable. Staff were the most friendly we experienced and offered advice tailored to our short stay. Lots of little touches that went a long way. Couldn’t be happier."
