Perfect Hospitality Is A Reality Here!
Stayed here for recently in single bed room. Hotel service is great. Fast check in and check out. The staffs are very lovely, and welcoming.Love the rooftop breakfast! Room spacious with own balcony and bathtub. Look bit old, but well cared and everything from water heater to aircond,worked well! Around 300m from main road (Penang Road), can easily catch free bus at bus stop nearby, we even went to airport using airpot rapid bus that pass thru this road.Avoid walking alone past 11 pm. Shops mostly close at 9 pm.10 minutes walk to Komtar (bus central) and Prangin Mall. We were able to explore Georgetown only by foot from the hotel! Yeay! For location outside Georgetown such as Penang Hill or Batu Ferrighi,easily catch bus at Komtar with cheap fare. TIPS : Prepare small money as bus drivers DO NOT provide change.Use tourist maps which you can get freely at hotel or Prangin Mall information centre. Food : Walking distance to famous Nasi Kandar,Roti Bakar Meleleh stall near Caltex and Char Kuey Teow at Bee Hwa Cafe in front of Ibupejabat Polis Kontinjen Pulau Pinang,also jeruk Pak Ali nearby in Chowrasta Market. Conclusion : I love this hotel with friends, if travel solo as female, i prefer hotel closer to main road such as Garden Inn or Cititel. May stick with this hotel if the state improve condition of Argyll Road (more lamps,and less construction). For the price and hospitality, this hotel is the Best in town! Recommended!

Uncomfortable
very poor service, smelly rooms, hotel back scatter and no tamarind tree like a haunted villa, pillows expired and smelly, i just check out at 11pm at a same day, very poor.

Still a good budget choice for Penang
The Mingood is an older style budget hotel that we have visited several times over the years and it still has many plus points over the newer “boutique” renovations in Penang. It’s certainly not fancy but the rooms are spacious, baths now replaced by showers, good WiFi and a/c, safes and a simple breakfast are all provided for a fair price. The staff are also very friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about their city.

Very run down,will never go back .
Stayed here a few years ago when it was a reasonable but old hotel Now I would not recommend to anyone Maintenance is non existent. Staff are all pleasant and seem resigned to the fact that the place is now a poor shadow of it's past.

The water pressure was so low, there is no bidet in the toilet. The aircond was not cold as it should be and the bed position was not in good position to get the aircond feel.

バスタブ付きホテルとしてコスパが良い
二度目の滞在ですが、バスタブが気に入ってます。 お湯が出なかったので文句言うとすぐ対応してくれました。 朝食は屋上階で簡単な、コンティネンタルスタイルです。 無料で自転車を貸してくれましたが、 長期滞在した日本人が置いて行ったものだそうです。
