"There is a new trend in hotel design worldwide which this hotel follows and it needs to stop. Not having proper walls and doors in bathrooms within the room. There is no privacy since the walls are now made of cristal so all the bedroom is illuminated by the bathroom, and the doors don't shot so noise and smell flow into the bedroom effortlessly. There is no way of going into the bathroom and not waking up other people in the room. It's a nightmare when traveling with friends and work...

"Booked to stay here for 2 nights after reading the reviews and we are so glad we did. From the moment we checked in and being greeted in the lounge with a drink and then being escorted to our room was such a nice touch. The grounds are beautiful and we wished we could have just stayed here for the 2 days and relaxed but we had plans in Knysna and Plettenberg. "Stayed here for a wedding. Our room had an enclosed patio but it opened into a corner during a large street celebration which was quite loud. I would have preferred almost any other room in the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful and called me when I had left a few things behind. "

"This is one of our favorite half-way stops on our way down to Cape Town. Wildernis is a quant little town with world-class restaurants and The Wildernis Hotel is such a great place to stay. Lovely pool, padel, tennis and mini-golf facilities. Excellent breakfasts! And very, very friendly staff."
