Maybe that's why tour groups are bused in for lunch or dinner from modern more familiar hotels who shy away from the unfamiliar. "The only serious issue was that when we arrived very early in the morning (4am) due to our flight and in spite of earlier ensuing that such late arrivals were acceptable, our booking through Expedia had not been recorded by their system. This caused a 1 hr delay in our checkin "

The old Delhi is walking distance and the train station to go to Agra is only 5 minutes away walking. This is the same station where the metro from and to the airport can be taken That'd been said, the area is really rough.
