You are in the centre of the village. Easy access to other areas of the Scottish Borders. Evening tends to close early so make sure you bring a good book. "

"The hotel is in a lovely building, but the decor in our room was odd and dated - it needed a bit of tlc and updating in our opinion. Lovely views of the city and beyond. We wish the blinds/curtains had been black out, as it got quite light in the morning. The big light in our room flickered a lot, so we couldn’t use it. Free parking was great. The room was cleaned each day and had basic amenities - kettle with tea and coffee, ironing board and a safe in the wardrobe."

"Breakfast was fine. Staff is nice, but not super competent. Plumbing issue not addressed in a reasonable time frame. Double booked my room and had a stranger enter. They fixed it, and in the process voided my key. Had to keep reminding restaurant that i was registered for breakfast due to the room change issue. Great location. "

"I had a very pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn in Edinburgh. The breakfast was good with variety of choices .The hotel also features a swimming pool and hot tub, which were very relaxing. The room was clean and comfortable, and all the staff provided friendly ."

"The staff were absolutely amazing! I couldn’t say one negative thing about them. Very helpful giving directions etc unfortunately we had issues with the cleanliness of our room and had to change. One room had what appeared to be blood on the wall. Very disappointed as this hotel is supposed to be a 4 star."

"Das Frühstück wurde einmal von uns separat dazu gebucht und war ein typisches englisches Breakfast mit Rührei, Speck, Würstchen und Bohnen. Das Zimmer war einfach aber soweit ok und wurde nur zum Schlafen benötigt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich u d hilfsbereit. Die Lage zur Innenstadt war gut. Zu Fuss etwa 10-15 Minuten. Direkt vor dem Hotel war aber auch die Bahn und Tramstation Haymarket. Auch diverse Busse haben dort gehalten mit denen man eigentlich überall hingekommen ist. Für einen...

"This is a nice hotel with friendly helpful staff. My only complaint is the en suite is badly designed with the loo squeezed in to a corner !!! "

"Great hotel, rooms clean and nice. Decent part of town close to station and tram stop. Highlight would be the staff who were always helpful and polite, especially the breakfast team who were great for gluten free. The coffee was also excellent which is surprisingly unusual in hotels I find. "
