Lovely location for us fishing on the Tweed. Great staff, comfortable rooms and the food & beer were good. Would definitely stay again.

Fabous stay

Wonferful hotel full of character. Large room with a fabulous bed. Probably the most comfy bed i ever slept in! Staff welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Restaurant food was fantastic.

Bedding nice and clean, everything else was in poor or unclean condition. Room was stifling hot with widow only opening 6-7 cm. Whole place needs a refurb!

Refurbished coach inn, with 8 rooms, bar & restaurant. Situated in a quiet village on a roundabout, but saw and heard very little traffic, great to use as a base. Roy and his family and staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Food was excellent and a great choice too at reasonable prices. Had Sunday roast and weekly specials where I had the best steak cooked for me in ages. It was clean, had a comfy bed, with good size rooms and priced well too. I will be going back and I would recommend this inn to anyone to stay there and explore the Borders.

Petit Hotel de famille (8 chambres réparties sur 3 ailes, Wiifi TV et parking gratuits, plateau thé café en chambre, tv). Nous : chambre charmante (n°7) avec salle de bain personnelle. Accueil des personnels excellent. Cuisine très fraîche et copieuse au restaurant : entrée (dont beignet de haggis) et dessert 5£ chacun et plat entre 10 et 14£. Le rdc est un pub. On avait notre chambre juste au-dessus et c était assez bruyant au delà de minuit. De plus, les salles d bain étaient équipées d'un sanibroyeur : dès que qqun utilisait de l"eau même dans la chambre d à côté tout le système très bruyant se mettait en marche. Assez mauvaise nuit malgré la literie correcte. Dommage car nous avions besoin de repos.

Good value accommodation.

Nice size room and good size en suite. The hotel is very old and the layout reflects this. The staff were all very friendly, we ate our evening meal in the bar and the food was excellent and plentiful. (went to bed with a happy full belly) A pleasant stay and good value for money. The bed was super comfy.

Grand place tae bide.

The bar has a lot of character and the food, choice wise, is limited but very good. You must try the raspberry cheesecake. Delicious!! The hallway and room need redecorated and in places looks a bit tatty. However, overall £50 is an absolute bargain to stay in such an historical building in such a beautiful part of the Borders. Owner and staff are extremely friendly and I feel guilty critising The Clovenford in any way. However I always try to be honest in every review good or bad. All I can say is that both my wife and I will be more than happy to return in the future.

This country Inn is situated in a quiet yet convenient location. We had a ground floor twin room which was spacious and tidy and perfect for our requirements (travelling with a friend). Staff and owners very friendly.
