Great place to stay. Parking for our motorbikes right out side the rooms. Food is amazing. Rooms are very nice with excellent shower ! Outside seating area, great beer and nice staff. Highly reccomended

Lovely pub with rooms

Lovely pub with rooms. Room was a great size and really comfortable. Service was friendly and welcoming. Evening meal was typical pub food, tasty and filling, with an excellent pudding list :-)

Excellent!

Booked myself and my black Labrador in for 3 nights. Spacious room, nice decor and very clean. Comfy bed with plenty of pillows. The full English breakfast was spot on with good quality items. (Thank you Ben). All the staff were engaging and very helpful. Great value for money! Would highly recommend this place and will definitely stay again should I be down that way again.

One night stay at the Black Horse

Great value for money. Excellent quality accommodation in what appeared to be a purpose built single storey building adjacent to the main pub / hotel, with a 'terrace' of adjacent rooms. I had my own entrance door off the rear car park area with a room so large you could almost live out of it (ensuite shower room and a sofa also as well as plenty of storage for clothes). Great pub with good food and large selection of beers, etc and plenty of secure parking to rear.

We stayed here overnight for a friend’s 60th nearby. The area is quiet but we knew that already as we had visited with those friends on a number of occasions. It was close to Blyton’s Ice Cream with a vast array of delicious homemade ice creams to choose from, and a lovely little tea room around the corner called Tiffin’s. We managed a lovely walk around the village in sunshine too. Very enjoyable stay, lovely evening meal. The only downside (for us) was the overpowering smell of bleach in the room but, for one night it was manageable, and we at least knew the bathroom was spotlessly clean. Lovely hot shower. Room felt a little dark even with all the lamps on. Could do with a brighter bulb in the main room. Plenty of PowerPoints for charging.
