"This is a hidden gem in Portofino. The hotel offers a hidden pathway to the heart of Portofino, which can be reached in approximately five minutes on foot. You will understand how important it is once you become familiar with the area. The main road is narrow and hard to walk on, so the path comes in super handy. The hotel also has access to the hidden beach, which you can barely see from the road. Absolutely breathtaking. Hotel staff are friendly and courteous. Although the breakfast hall is small, the food and the service are great. There is a 40 Euro parking fee per day, so count that into account if you are arriving by car."

Each time there have been issues at check-in and check-out, I forget until the next stay, a terrible check-in; the rooms were not ready, even though we arrvived late afternoon well after check-in time. The front desk person was pushy and did a very long-winded up-sell that made no sense, as we had booked 3 rooms for privacy. The apartment he tried multiple times to up-sell had 2 rooms, with the 2nd divided by a flimsy partition. Breakfast was nice."
