If anything more serious were wrong in the room I imagine it would be the same problem. So really poor service other than the cleaning staff who did a good job. "Awesome place for nostalgia. Staff were inviting and always helpful with anything you need. Awesome donuts on the weekend. Definitely could use some simple upgrades like a towel rack/ mini fridge. Other than that great beds. Good sheets. Good pillows. Definitely will be back when the restaurant/bar reopens."

"It felt like a boarding house. No common area to sit on a couch and relax. Our window opened onto an air shaft and no view. Neighborhood parking is nonexistent so only stay if using Uber. The bed and bath were clean. However I would not stay there again."

The free breakfast was very both nutritious and delicious. I enjoyed the coffee and many flavors of tea they have. The location is also very convenient. I can walk to Japantown to visit the shops and restaurants. I recommend this hotel."

"We liked the place. Lots of things to see and take pics of. Price was good for San Francisco. We thought we would pay more but glad they are not greedy people. Very kind and funny staff. Breakfast selection was good. The only thing i would have like to have was scrambled eggs not just hard boiled eggs but all in all loved the whole experience and would go back again. "

"Great decor, close to the concert venue our son was going to. Parking was a bit difficult so we had to circle around a few times until the front desk guy came out and explained it was confusing. We appreciated him taking time off to explain how to find public parking since their parking lot was full. "

"Charged 34.00 to park then repark my own car in hard to access cement basement.charged 20.00 more dollars for the amenities old danish n bananas n noname coffee. The pool they speak of i never saw i heard it was across the street on another building's rooftop useless. The room was not clean the worst was i open my bath towel n a ball of black hair fell to floor. Only 1 shower door moved and no fan in bathroom. I will say sheets were clean."
