"Very charming hotel, intricate exquisite features, amazing breakfast/dining area, excellent breakfast choices, healthy and delicious. Staff were very helpful, polite and attentive. Rooms were very clean, nicely updated bathrooms. Even though we had an amazing canal view we found the room a little dark - more lighting (brighter) would be helpful. "The location was central and easy to get to - a key requirement for a short stay. Nice cafe room though. Breakfast was not included in our rate but coffee and tea were available. Comfortable seating area. The front desk staff at both check in and out were great. No problem leaving and retrieving baggage. Directtions. Whatever. Set expectations appropriately. It's a budget hotel in Amsterdam. The room will be small and the stairs will be steep. The stairs down to our room were a bit treacherous - more like something you'd see in a submarine than a hotel but again, not really a surprise. Beyond that though, the room was snug but clean and comfortable. No complaints for a short stay. Good bathroom and shower. Overall a good value for basic accommodations in a fantastic location."
