Lovely breakfast in the restaurant each morning. Note no parking and your best option is the Harbour arm carpark, which is £20 for 24hours. "

"The family room was a good size and clean unfortunately the double bed had a dreadful squeak at every movement! However for one nights stay it was absolutely fine. I needed to wash and sterilise some baby bottles and despite it being 10pm the staff were very helpful and came back to give me access to the kitchen and microwave ( which again was very clean and tidy) we left too early for breakfast but I wouldn’t hesitate to book again for an overnight stop"

"I have stayed at the southcliff many times over the years and find it absolutely great for what I need. The staff are always friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome as always. A big thankyou to the lady on reception called Shiril who was very pleasant and helpful with an issue I had with the room so thankyou so much. "Had one of the smallest rooms in the hotel but it was quite quaint. As we were only staying one night, it wasn't a problem."

"Amount of things supplied, didn't really need half the stuff we took. Excellent flat. Well equipped. Nice set up. Bonus bottle of wine. Lovely views. Apart from stairs everything was perfect, even stairs I coped with. Can't praise it enough."

"Hotel is not fit to house a dog. Blood and semen on the bed, bed made out of wood, exposed electrics, shower door that doesn’t close. Half the building had pigeons flying around inside which we seen as we pulled up. All was reported to reception and asked for a refund, which was refused. We left and booked another hotel! After 2 hours of phone calls to hotels.com they agreed to refund for our booking. "

In the words of my partner, “if we had a dog, I wouldn’t let that stay here ……” To get into the room we had to move bags of rubbish outside the actually room to start with. Walked in and found a towel used by the previous guests still in the bathroom ( and we could tell as it was dirty and stained ) . "Room very clean but bed uncomfortable. Carpark very small and tight plus other users park over 2 bays making it hard to park."

"Property and stay was good - we had travelled over 6 hours and it was boiling hot - our air con was not working. I reported it and was told that someone would sort it out but nobody came."
