"Property and stay was good - we had travelled over 6 hours and it was boiling hot - our air con was not working. I reported it and was told that someone would sort it out but nobody came."

"It’s a proper old fashioned seaside hotel. Plenty of places to sit and chat and eat and drink. Friendly staff. The hotel is quite old so do not have plugs by the bed so if you need that for charging phones (or cpap machines) then bring an extension cord 😊 I was a solo traveller with a dog and people could not have been nicer. I can’t wait to return 👏"

"Fantastic location right on the harbour, lots to see and do within walking distance. Located in a building separate to the main restaurant/bar, so no issue with any noise. Lovely breakfast in the restaurant each morning. Note no parking and your best option is the Harbour arm carpark, which is £20 for 24hours. "

"I have stayed at the southcliff many times over the years and find it absolutely great for what I need. The staff are always friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome as always. A big thankyou to the lady on reception called Shiril who was very pleasant and helpful with an issue I had with the room so thankyou so much. I love the location of this hotel and the view looking out over the English channel and able to see France on a clear day. At the end of the day it's a budget hotel and like...

"Good sized room for family of 4! Good location and fine for 1 night!"

"Hotel is not fit to house a dog. Blood and semen on the bed, bed made out of wood, exposed electrics, shower door that doesn’t close. Half the building had pigeons flying around inside which we seen as we pulled up. All was reported to reception and asked for a refund, which was refused. We left and booked another hotel! After 2 hours of phone calls to hotels.com they agreed to refund for our booking. "

"Amount of things supplied, didn't really need half the stuff we took. Excellent flat. Well equipped. Nice set up. Bonus bottle of wine. Lovely views. Apart from stairs everything was perfect, even stairs I coped with. Can't praise it enough."
