It’s little far from city centre but still okay if you are able walk for 2-3km. It’s a guest house and had a good stay.

The staff was very welcoming and kind. The room was a bit small for what I am used to, but I made do. The sink didn’t have a drain in it, and the soap kept falling down the drain.

The room was nice and big with high ceilings, beautiful terrazzo floor, big bathroom and window, nice lighting and generally very comfortable. The manager was extremely helpful. She spoke multiple languages. I was comfortable taking the bus to the city center sights. And appreciated the value of this nice place to stay at a very reasonable price. There was a wonderful caffe within 3 blocks and other conveniences closer. All the mattresses that I slept on in Italy in multiple cities have been more firm than I am use to, including this one.

The staff were very friendly and helpful with my request for help to adjust the room thermostat. The room was quite large with high ceilings and a big bed. I would highly recommend the property!

Period Style property worth visiting

We loved our short stay, the room was comfortable and the period features made it more special. We loved the balcony over the garden, where we enjoyed a bottle of Prosecco. The host came over as friendly and could not do enough to ensure our stay was top class. Thankyou

Lady of the house

It’s well located if you’re planning to do a parkrun in Mensola Parkrun. The parkrun was cancelled due to Tour de France. End up travelling to Lucca on Friday to do the parkrun on Saturday. It’s only 34 minutes walk to the city centre and10 minutes by bus. The room was cleaned and big enough. And there is a special treat for the guest staying at the back rooms. You just have to book this place to find out.

it’s a lovely place with high ceilings and rather big rooms but i had the bad luck of arriving in the pooring rain and there was no public transport since it was the 1th of may so ended up having to wait for a taxi for over an hour. very crumpy by that time… lady at the reception was lovely and helpful! my room was in the front of the building and very noisy so maybe take earplugs! otherwise a very nice place but for me a bit too far from the center as a solo traveler!

It’s a nice building with history, maintained in a decent condition. Room is facing the street, so can be noisy from people on the st and entering into the building through front door. In the morning, the bus and car will wake you up early. Host is nice and friendly, offers free biscuits and hot drinks.

Nice , quiet good stay

The staff are super friendly, they explained all the rules and facilities very clear. The room are tidy, clean and quiet. Actually the location is a bit far from the train station, but bus can reach to the area. So it is not the big deal. The street won't noisy and you will feel safe, supermarket just one to two minutes walk,quite convenience.
