It is very cozy and welcoming with comfortable bedrooms and wonderful community spaces with a game room, enclosed sitting area and eating area with a fridge and pizza oven. The owners are friendly and make a great waffle breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back."

"Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location and pet friendly property. Coffee and tea station (with cookies!!!!) available 24/7. Property may consider designating a dog area with disposal bag dispenser.
We will stay here again!"
"Very spacious room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location in center of village. Hotel appears to have been redecorated in the not too distant past. Although the website says no pets, the front desk told us that if we call them in advance and ask, they apparently have four rooms designated as "pet friendly". Good to know, because the last time we stayed there, many years ago, we stayed with our small dog."

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Iron Mountain by IHG
6/10 Okay
"The hotel was clean and well maintained. When we entered the room it smelled clean and fresh. Other hotel rooms can smell musty but thankfully our hotel room was very clean. Nothing special about the room but nothing to complain about either. I gave the hotel 3 stars because of the breakfast. It was Memorial Day weekend and it's to be expected there would be more guests than usual. We stayed for 3 nights. Each day that we went down to breakfast there were very slim pickings. None of the food was replenished timely if at all. The first day we thought maybe it was because we went down pretty late and breakfast was winding down. The next 2 days we made a point to go down early and that was even worse. The 2nd day we ended up going to a restaurant, we had a full day of activities planned and we wanted to make sure we ate well. On the 3rd day we noticed the pattern. The attendant was slow to get food out. She told us she'd replenish the hot foods, never did, was pretty non-existent the whole time. Was it laziness on her part? Maybe, is it the hotel trying to save money and outrun the clock? I don't know, what I do know is we stay at Holiday Inns to enjoy the breakfast that we have in the past and save some money. This was very disappointing and I don't know if it was the worker not doing her job properly or the hotel trying to keep costs down. In all other aspects the hotel had friendly, polite staff. But the lack of attention to serving breakfast left us sour."
"I’ve stayed in many “non Hilton” type roadside hotels/motels that are older to save money. I know what not to expect. That was my goal with this one. All are usually dated, but some are well maintained, kept and clean. This one was none of those things. The room was dirty, the white duvet cover had black dirty spots on it, wallpaper was sloughing off, the bathroom was dirty, it had the smell of an old building that gets no ventilation and cleaning, carpets were dirty, walls had smudges of dirt? (What else?) on them…. No one was working the front desk and you have to ring a door bell to get someone to help. Which is fine, but that didn’t work. The one bright spot was a gentleman that worked there walked through the lobby and asked if we had been helped and found the manager that didn’t speak English well, and was seemed less than happy to have to deal with checking a customer in. We also had to ask for an extra pillow as the room was missing one - which was not well received by the manager. Fortunately my wife is a trooper and doesn’t complain. These pictures are very misleading. Do not stay at this place if you have issues with things not being real clean and updated."
