"We enjoyed our stay at the Waterside Hotel. Parking in the basement was easy with lifts to all floors. The room was good, spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. My only grumbles would be that it was difficult getting into the bath tub to have a shower and there was no fridge in the room."

"The accommodation was very good. Breakfast whilst adequate, was not as varied as I’ve had elsewhere. Eg. Scrambled eggs or no eggs. Hotel not easy to find by car and sat nav. Mine gave up. Haven’t seen so many no entry signs in such close proximity and never seen a “Bus gate” before. Beware of this as sat nav’s want to take you through it. DON’T GO there. I’ll probably have a ticket on the mat when I get home. Only one disabled car parking bay and that was coned off. Arriving by train? Not easy getting directions although apparently a ten minute walk. In summary, good value accommodation but not easy to find the hotel or a departure route from it."

"Room was exceptionally clean and well maintained and stocked up during our stay. Staff were first class, especially the bar and catering staff who were always on the ball. Room itself was fairly small on the top floor but with adequate storage provision. Bed could have been a bit more comfortable, and bathroom door when open left little space to move. Would be better if door opened outwards. Evening entertainment was varied and enjoyable, and the breakfast quality was excellent. Would have liked a larger table for breakfast as the small square tables are quite tight for 2 people to fit everything on the table."

"We stayed in the gate house as a family of 3 and chose this hotel as it was a short drive to the flower bowl entertainment centre. The room was out of the main hotel in a separate building and was nicely done with comfy beds. We had an evening meal in the walled garden restaurant and both the food and service were great. We didn’t use the pool as it was £10pp to use the facilities. The only thing that really let down our stay was the buffet breakfast as many of the items had not been refilled leaving many items not available and the food that was there was cold. As the breakfast was an added cost to the room I wish we had gone elsewhere for breakfast. I did tell the receptionist on check out as there hadn’t been any staff around at breakfast to tell and was told he was sorry to hear that."
