"The room was clean and tidy and had almost all you could wish for. The breakfast was help yourself but had enough for almost everyone. I was slightly disappointrd with the grill dining room menu but nevertheless enjoyed my choice. Staff were friendly and helpful and would definitely choose again if necessary. "

"The surroundings and ambiance of the hotel were beautiful and the staff were always polite and attentive. The food was lovely and there was plenty of convenient parking. I was staying in a room in the old house on the island, which provided beautiful views and grand interiors. Could be a little noisy in the mornings with trolley's being wheeled over the cobbles."

"I have stayed here a few times and will keep coming back with friends and solo. The rooms, common areas and spa facilities are always spotless. "Very disappointing to arrive on site a 1845 and discover that there was no restaurant facilities and no bar available for a drink. The booking confirmation stated that both were open 11 till late, but it's actually 6pm when the restaurant closes. There is an expensive shop open to buy student type food, but we didnt fancy pot noodle when we were hoping to be dining in the restaurant. Very misleading information. "
