Overnight stop with dog

We spent one night on return trip to Calais. Travelled as a couple with a child and small dog in a triple/family room. Basic room, all ok, great breakfast included, allowed is to have the dog with us in the conservatory/dining area which meant we could eat as a family which was great. Would stop again 👍

Bargain option. You get what you pay for. The hotel offers very few facilities. No towels in bedrooms. No tea/coffee in room. No vending machines. Rooms are tired and unloved. Stains on carpets and walls throughout. Lots if noise from other guests through the night (stayed Saturday night). But it is very cheap, in a pleasant town and in a convenient location for onward travel.

Read this honest review

Hotel in very poor condition. Peeling paint, mould, carpets were beyond dirty. Staff were lovely & breakfast good which is why it’s not dreadful for every category. Some reviews on here must be made up - “excellent “ ????? it certainly wasn’t!

I was very impressed with the hotel. The name ‘comfort hotel’ is the perfect description. The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful as my elderly and infirm parents required a room close to reception - not far to walk - so she changed the room for easier access. We chose to have a snack/meal before bed and the receptionist assisted with this also. Sadly I think our meal was cooked using a microwave and were possibly cooked from frozen in packets as the meal was a disappointment. (Not the receptionist fault). Breakfast was great after a comfortable night.

Noisy. Could hear people in the corridor. Talking in other rooms. 2 lights didn’t work. Dirty surface in the bathroom. Paint chipped and bashed. Breakfast was very disappointing - choice and drinks. Bed very hard and uncomfortable. Booked due to 24 hours reception which it did have. Staff were really nice

The property was convenient. But it was very noisy at night. Hammering and banging at 2 o’clock in the morning. We were cold in bed and found a spare duvet which we put on the bed but if did not make much difference. No phone or tea coffee making facilities. The room was clean but very shabby. We ate at the hotel and although the choice was limited the food was good. Reception staff whdd ed n we arrived were very friendly. Breakfast choice was not great very limited. No eggs. Just on red selection of cold meat and cheese. We thought for the price it should have been better.

Great spot.

Perfectly situated for a mid holiday stop over. Reception were excellent no fuss getting checked in. Rooms adequate if not modernised but perfect for a family and all you need. Location is near a massive retail park 3 m ins drive where you can get some food in the evening hours. Breakfast was also spot on. Recommend a stay if passing.
