You simply cannot beat Green Coast Surfhouse for the price. The Hotel staff were delightful, it was inviting and friendly. The beach and surf was so close. I stayed 10 days.

It is really unfortunate that the owner showed up 2 hours after our arrival to let us in (at 5pm), after a day of travel we had plans for that afternoon other than staying in the car parked in front of the house… The accommodation is wonderful though!

What a great place to stay. We arrived on a late flight - met at the airport by a taxi, organised by the surf house, the driver was lovely. Got to the house, checking in was easily achieved by calling them. The house and room were very clean and the shared facilities were excellent. We had a very early morning flight back to Porto but the surf house arranged a taxi for us again. All in all i would definitely recommend staying here, they were lovely and the service was second to none. Thank you Green Coast Surf House.

Need a phone to check in

Great location. Construction next door but stopped and started at reasonable hours. Breakfast was served next door at a coffee shop. Just eggs, toast, cold drink hot drink. Good but basic. Check in was typical of off-site manager. You call, get a code, they get get you in over the phone and you never see them. If you don't have a phone, you might need to rethink. Nice town.

Es ist wunderbar. In 2. Meereslinie, keine 50 Meter vom Strand entfernt. Das Preis- Leistungsniveau war super. Wirklich nicht teuer. Alles sehr sauber. Man hat eine Gemeinschaftsküche, das ist super. Eine Kaffeemaschine steht bereit, Kaffeebohnen werden aufgefüllt, Teesorten, Zucker, Honig. Ein Kühlschrank in dem jedes Zimmer seine eigene Box hat. Leider WC auf dem Gang aber da es sauber war, fand ich das nicht schlimm. Ruhig im Haus selbst. Freundliche Gastgeber. Insgesamt 5 Sterne verdient. Und ja, es ist zu empfehlen. PS. Handtücher inbegriffen. Für kalte Tage ist ein Heizgerät bereit.

Un séjour parfait !!!

Un superbe weekend en amoureux pour découvrir Porto dans ses grandes lignes tout en logeant au calme d'un front de mer... Mission accomplie, superbe lieu atypique rempli de bonnes ondes à 15km au sud de Porto, à 100m de la plage au coeur de Espinho, magnifique cité balnéaire. Nous avons rejoins en 30min max en transport en commun le centre de Porto, un pur bonheur d'arpenter la ville à pied, en bateau, en tramway, en télécabine... Bref, à refaire sans hésitation... Petit bémol : la navette de départ pour l'aéroport le dimanche matin n'est jamais venue, nous nous sommes rabatu sur un Uber (moins cher)... Mention spéciale pour le petit dej, parcourir 900m en 10min et prendre un excellent petit dej dans un spot de rève à l'ambiance bienveillante et positive, les pieds dans le sable !!!

Disappointing to say the least!

Hotel located in a very grungy area - dirty and dismal with massive construction projects right opposite. Can’t comment on the interior of the hotel because we never got inside. Through some miscommunication, no one was there to greet us and I couldn’t reach them by phone. Due to the awful location, we decided to cut our losses and go elsewhere. Found a great hotel on the beach in Plaia da Gaia for less money than the BC guesthouse. I doubt that we will get our money back but it was worth the move to great room overlooking the sea!

It was Home Alone but in a good way!

We were staying during off season and were only guests in this nice and cozy, surf styled house. Beach is near and hosts are super nice and helpful.

Très mignon,bien situé. Les toilettes des autres chambres sont sur le palier et toute la nuit,bruit de portes et de chasse d eau,défaut de cet éts. Il faudrait que chaque chambre ait des sanitaires. Le boîtier pour récupérer les clés ne fonctionne pas bien,nous avons nous même ouvert à des locataires.

Espinho is a quiet beach town, that's great for surfers. I went solely for that reason- to spend some quiet time on the beach, and this was the perfect place to stay. Great service and extremely clean premesis. Just be sure to have cash, as this location does not accept credit card to cover your stay (despite Hotels.com requiring one for booking).

Close to perfect -- and the beach

A wonderful place to stay, a renovated older house just 2 blocks from the beach, and 4 from the station. Rodrigo is a wonderful host, and his breakfasts are excellent. The rooms are on the small side, but there is a big common room. There are bikes and boogie boards for rent.

Outstanding !

OUTSTANDING ! We felt amazing in this place. Our host Rodrigo was a very lovely person, he was very flexible, caring, always sweet and smiling, and I don't even mention the breakfast that we can feel was prepared with a lot of love. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet and just a few meters from the beach. Porto was also super easy to access by train, the train station is a 5mins walk away from the house. Thank you for everything, we can't wait to come back !

Perfect for surfing trip

Very nice welcome by the owner, the guesthouse is very clean, nice (shared) bathrooms and close to the beach.
