"We had a two night stay at the Athena and found it very clean and well-presented. In spite of it being a lower ground floor room, it was pleasant and well lit. The staff were friendly and helpful (it was during the Tube strike!) but we managed to find our way around. The Continental breakfast was substantial and very good value and the hotel was a short walk from Paddington station. Would recommend. "

"Our room was large, quiet, and dark! It was perfect. Very clean, spacious bathroom, well appointed. Staff were excellent! We did not use any dining services so can’t speak to that but the location is a nice and easy 5-7 minute walk to the train station and loads of shopping."

"Definitely small double room as per old London standard. You have to be physically fit in order to manage yourself in this tiny room. Comfy bed. Very clean. Friendly staffs. Worth the money. If you want bigger rooms, try looking at newer area like Canary Wharf."

"the hotel doesn't have stair case, but the front desk staff, she is kind enough to help with our luggage to the 6th floor although the room is small, but it is so comfy with basic amneties. the shower room/toilet is super clean, and the water pressure is good it worth its price"
