"Didnāt get our rooms until 4:30pm. In one of them the shower tray had a huge crack in it that they had tried to fix with silicone. Couldnāt be moved as the hotel was full. In the other room we found a pair of socks that were not ours. Thin walls between rooms. Staff on check in and the breakfast room were very slow. Same at the bar upstairs. Better downstairs. Needs a bit of TLC and some better training of staff. Good location, nice decor, prices at restaurants and bars not that bad."

"Don't book it. The standard room we stayed in looks nothing like the pictures. We had to walk into the corridor to go to the bathroom, wash or have a shower. Room had no fan, sink or toilet. It had a fridge with nothing in it. The window overlooked a back yard with rubbish and gas bottles around. There were no smoke detectors, no fire evacuation plan on display, no visible fire extinguishers, only one entrance and exit. Very basic and very dangerous. Only positive was that the staff were...

"For the price it does the job. Room was clean and well kept, facilities fine. Main issue is noise of other guests. Doors bang loudly at all hours and there doesn't seem to be a quiet time even at 3am.

"Great location and a nice room, but the stay was let down by poor maintenance. The fridge was dirty, smelled terrible and did not work, so we ended up buying ice just to keep our water cold during the hot Alicante days. We reported it in person and by email, but it was only replaced on our last day. The shower also leaked water into the main room area. A basic room check before arrival would have prevented most of this."
