La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Carlsbad - Legoland Area

"Our room was not ready so we had to wait. I was told I would get a phone call when the room was ready. No one called me. At about 3:10 PM I went to the front desk to ask if the room was ready. I was told that a text had been sent to me. I got the text about 20 minutes prior, but it didn't say that the room was ready, it said "Welcome to La Quinta"... Nothing about the room being ready. The next morning we had to change rooms because there were ants in the room. The staff did not offer any help in moving our belongings to the new room. It would have been really nice and helpful if they would have helped us move. There is only one ice machine for the whole hotel and it is on the main floor around from the front desk. Also, breakfast is only from 6 AM - 9 AM, it would be better if it were through 10 AM. Maybe even 7 AM - 10 AM, if they only want if for 3 hours. The pool and pool area are quite small."

"Great owners that take pride in their property - nicely renovated and super comfy bed. Nearby Encinitas and Carlsbad beaches with a nice parking lot that is free for guests. Amazing value near the main downtown section of Encinitas. Many food delivery options and the hotel is great at having the delivery driver come to your room to drop off."

"Room and grounds are well kept and staff are incredibly helpful. Lots of nearby restaurants and shops. Very short car or bike ride to nearby towns giving even more options for entertainment and activities. The in-room record players and vinyl library a nice added touch."
