Initially when we booked I was worried about location given the close proximity to the train station, however we never felt unsafe at all. The close proximity to the train station was actually a plus especially when having our luggage or for day trips outside Florence and the walking distance to Florence centre was very doable as well. 10/10 for location and accommodation. The estate gardens, sitting area and small chapel was designed for relaxing maybe drink some wine and enjoy this villa that's part of haven. "We enjoyed our stay here; it's out of the main tourist center of Florence in the Oltrarno, and it's within a half-mile of the Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens, and all the tourist sites are within walking distance (25 minutes). There's no front desk here, but instructions were good enough to get into the hotel and our rooms (still, you have to be comfortable with that). A good value for Florence overall."
