"We stayed 5 nights. The sheets and towels were stained. The room was dirty. They took out the trash and gave us new towels one time during our stay after we asked them several times. Often there was no one present on the premises. The street where the hotel is located is VERY run down. They did give us an extra room to keep our bikes which we appreciated. They were nice when we saw them."

"I had read reviews about this hotel recently, say it was clean and looked new renovated. We stayed on the 7th floor, definitely NOT renovated. Dirty carpet, dirty lobby. The area had a lot of homeless people wandering around, street were dirty and I didn’t feel safe. The hotel room it self was quiet. We slept and left right away. Would never stay here again!"

"The hotel was difficult to get to. You can see it from the interstate, but when you get off at the exit, you can't see it. There are no signs directing you to the hotel. I finally found it. The lady working the front desk was ok. Not the most friendly. The room was clean. Had difficulty sleeping because the noise from the interstate which was right across the parking lot, literally. Walk out the room door, walk across the not so wide lot and climb the embankment and you're standing on...

"The breakfast was minimal, when things needed replenished , the one staff on site acted put out and only added items when asked. Two separate hotels ours was the 3rd floor, the smell of pot was overwhelming, and there was a loud machine running in the building at 2 am which made it near impossible to sleep. I pray our next hotel is as advertised."

"We stayed here to experience the Rail Explorers Elk River tour, which makes the hotel’s location convenient if one is coming from Ohio. The beds were comfortable! The hallway carpets and furniture were all banged up or stained. The guests seemed a little rowdy the night we stayed, including an incessant yapping dog. "Sarah checked us in and was extremely helpful. We had arrived early and our rooms were ready for check in. She assisted with recommendations for hiking and restaurants in the area. We stayed for two days and had a lovely time. The staff was nice and courteous. Very nice rooms with updated amenities. Definitely recommend staying here and will stay here again if I'm back in the area"

"This is a basic, no-frills old property that has aged well. The rooms are plain, and nothing but coffee in the office for breakfast. I am a traveler who looks for a clean place to sleep and shower; the frills don't matter. This fits the bill for someone who would rather spend their money on other things than frills in a room they will sleep in and be gone from in 12 hours. In cities, cheap hotels attract an element to stay away from, but that type is not touring the back roads of West Virginia."
