Hotel di El Cerro

"We reserved a room at this location, however we were switched to ZenZaru same ownership. At KiKaru the grounds were not maintained and the pool was unusable/not clean. When we arrived at ZenZaru the location was very inconvenient. You had to go down approximately 100 steps to get to the rooms. There is no reception area, no rest area/lounge. The room was recently finished but not complete. The bathroom/shower was large and comfortable, however the extreme hot water was not adjustable and poor...

"We absolutely loved staying here. As a family of four we felt very comfortable in such beautiful and clean villas. Everyone was so nice and hospitable. The food was so delicious and the fresh fried plantains. Both the ladies in the kitchen were so sweet. Plenty of free private parking. The stairs are absolutely no issue, should you have one there is a wheelchair friendly route to take down to the villas/pool instead. We did not want to leave! If you’re wanting to stay near MA, stay here!"

"The room is very clean and well maintained. Staff is nice and friendly. Lettika is a wonderful woman who is always willing to help us. Our room had an outdoor sunroom-like space with screened walls, which made it feel open and connected to nature while still feeling safe and comfortable. Sitting on the sofa, birds would come right in front of me, and it was such a peaceful and enjoyable experience."

"Road to.. It was a great ride on the dirt road to Santajuana alongside palm tree trimmers, cattle, motorbikes, and the required 4-wheel momentum to make it up into the hill. Clean woodsy classy designed room with comfortable bed in the screen sided cabin, plus 270 degree view on the deck, while we appreciated the rain soundtrack and viewed fog, haze & gorgeous sunsets meant a new level of peace, bookended with hikes to and dips in waterfalls. "Darlene “Dar” was #1 at check in and on check out. She keeps the hotel rolling!! At breakfast we chose a different 1-4 options each morning to see the difference. Each one was great, if I had to choose I’d select the pancakes with scrambled eggs. Room was always clean each day when we returned from our daily venture. Dont miss the happy hr by the pool in the garden from 4-6. "

"Great stay. Beautiful landscape/garden and very friendly service. Relatively quiet and calm. No major „attractions“ nearby, but various restaurants and small shops along the street. Everything else requires a car, Uber, or a <$1 bus ride which was very convenient."
