"First time I have experienced a 4 pm check in. At the same time check out is at 10 am. Both times are very inconvenient, especially the 4 pm check in. The place was clean. If you need your room cleaned you would have to request it, which was not an issue. Good access to transit as buses stop just in front of hotel. Front desk staff was helpful. The area is safe, as I was out walking past midnight and never felt worried."

"Parking is good we didn’t have a drink in the bar. We have stayed here many times over the years but it has gone downhill. Poor maintenance in the bathroom… no hot water for a shower or a wash! Went to breakfast and was told we had to be finished within half an hour… people on the next table… the waitress actually asked them to leave!! "New hotel and clean, modern, comfortable beds, duvets, pillows and loved the Cowshed toiletries and even hair straighteners provided. Main downside is very expensive parking- £35 overnight at NCP"

"It’s an amazing looking hotel, lots of period features in the main building and nice views over the gardens. Our room was in the ‘new’ block. It was a good size, bed was comfortable, kettle, iron ironing board hair-drier all there. It did feel a bit tired though, especially the bathroom and it took a couple of attempts to get the shower hot. But it all seemed clean and for the price we paid I was happy enough"

"Entire property well maintained clean Breakfast buffet style seemed a little over priced Reception staff and room attendants were fabulous Spa underwhelming more akin to a gym facility which is the main use perhaps but none the less clean not crowded and convenient and good value as included in room price "
